I have become a golden bird

ਉਡ ਮੈਂ ਨਾ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ, ਖੰਭਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਫ਼ਾਇਦਾ?

I cannot fly, what is the use of wings?

ਤੂੰ ਕਹਿਨੈ ਮੈਂ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਆਂ, ਮੇਰੇ ਜਿਹੀ ਨਾ ਜੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣੀ ਆਂ

You say I am beautiful, and there is no one like me in the world

ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਨਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਫ਼ਾਇਦਾ?

But if you don't love me, what is the use?

ਰੂਪ ਸੁਹਾਨਾ ਲਗਦਾ ਏ, ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀਵਾਨਾ ਲਗਦਾ ਏ

I conquered the whole world, but I lost the battle of love

ਹੁਣ ਬਹਿ ਕੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਾਂ ਕਿ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਵਾਂ?

Should I sit and remember you now or just forget?
